I was born and raised in Mexico City, and as a little girl, could always be found splattered with paint or with a coloring book, crayons, and pencil in hand. My notes in school always had some kind of doodle or drawing, and as a teen, I was eager to make something… anything... creative. I learned to cut and sew my own clothing and knitted and all sorts of different trades. It occurred to me quite early on that I wanted to become a designer or an architect.

When I realized the market for architects was quite slim in Mexico, I quickly developed a new passion for anything tridimensional; boxes, packaging, models, and geometric drawings became the niche that really excited and inspired my creativity.

Fresh out of college, I worked in various advertising agencies, newspapers, and print production companies and quickly became intoxicated by the smell of ink.

In 2000, I moved to the U.S. and became a citizen. I was able to put my education and creative passions to work across various industries, contributing and collaborating on everything from packaging for licensed board games (and one very well-known lactation support company!), to the development of full brand concepts, to a full line of packaging for America’s leading pet supply company.

My childhood fascinations with art, crafts, cutting, and sewing, and my experience in licensing and multiple areas of design have afforded me an entirely unique perspective on my design projects. While I still love the smell of ink, my vices now lie in the realm of packaging and product development.
